Information Importing / Exporting Software

HostInterface is available as an optional extra for the SupplyMaster® level system, and consists of two modules.  It enables the import and export of  data to and from SupplyMaster in multiple formats with complete flexibility.

This module allows for the import of information into SupplyMaster® via another system, such as an accounting or order processing system, an ERP system etc. The import can be set up so that it occurs at regular intervals. Imported information can be fed into the Connote tables creating completed consignments or into the connote import tables creating part consignments ready to be completed.

If imported into the Connote Import Tables, the records are placed in a temporary file. When the appropriate reference number is entered into the Create Consignments screen the information from the import is then brought into the system for confirmation and completion of any incomplete information.

Both these options are designed to significantly increase the speed and accuracy of the connote creation process and is particularly useful in cases where the customer address information is continually changing. The interface module allows for the file to be presented in any format providing that it is either fixed length text or delimited.

The setup and design functions write to a file which holds the mapping and design information. Once the setup is done it is then a matter of running the application and pressing start to start the polling.

Upload

Upload allows for the export of information from SupplyMaster® into another system, such as accounting, order processing or ERP system. The export can be set up so that it occurs at regular intervals. Exported information can be used in relation to invoicing or management control reporting features.
