Is SupplyMaster® a multi-carrier system ?

YES. SupplyMaster® is able to handle any carrier environment, rate structure, formats for labels, connotes or manifests. SupplyMaster® is accepted by all carriers and is able to transmit data in required format and by required electronic media (modem, e-mail or FTP).

Can SupplyMaster® interface with my host system ?

YES. Compdata has developed a Host Interface component which allows us to map data downloaded from a host system and convert this to format required by SupplyMaster®. The only restriction would seem to be that your host system has an export function.(In a number of instances Compdata has been able to work around this limitation).

Does SupplyMaster® send data direct to carrier or through a bureau ?

SupplyMaster® transmits data direct to carrier. Many carriers will not accept data through a bureau as this incurs unnecessary additional costs and provides potential third party access and/or loss of data.

Is SupplyMaster available as a web-based system?

Yes, Compdata offers many web-based tools offering SupplyMaster functionality.

My carrier will provide a system free of charge. Why would I buy SupplyMaster® ?

Carrrier's systems provide basic requirements such as printing address labels, con-notes and manifests but lack the additional functionality of SupplyMaster.

Carrier's systems commonly referred to as 'Loyalty' systems are usually designed around the carrier's requirements and are restrictive in their ability to accept other carriers. Should you wish to add or change carrier you may need to change systems, requiring re-training and potential loss of data.

A number of more realistic carriers recognising that they are not in the business of developing, maintaining and supporting software use SupplyMaster® or a version of SupplyMaster® as their customer system. This allows a customer to upgrade to a version of SupplyMaster® allowing multiple carriers or a network system and provides the customer with the comfort of knowing one system can handle all requirements.

Do I need to buy labels, con.notes etc.. through Compdata ?

No. Compdata is able to source labels, con.notes etc... (At reasonable prices) if required.  However you are not obliged to purchase through Compdata.
